HOW TO LOWER BLOOD GLUCOSE WITH LIGHT (Do This Before Dinner)

Aug 09, 2025

You've all heard about how bad high blood glucose is for health and about how you really want to cut those blood glucose spikes down after you eat so I'll make this post quick and wont go into those reasons today.

Lets just agree chronically high blood glucose and glucose spikes arent great, especially at night.

So what can you do to prevent the spikes from eating and keep blood glucose lower in general?

Take a quick walk before or after you eat. This has shown to lower blood glucose and knock down those spikes.

Gee, that's great Bobby but I thought you were going to tell me how to lower blood sugar with light?

Yes. Realize that by going for a quick walk outside, you are exposing yourself to a lot of light, particularly red and infrared light!

In this recent study, we see that deep red or near infrared 670nm light lowers the blood glucose spike you get after eating!

"This study has shown that a single 15-min exposure to 670 nm significantly reduces blood glucose using a standard oral glucose tolerance test."

But how?

"A 670 nm PBM treatment has been demonstrated to improve mitochondrial respiration with systemic consequences, and that increased ATP production will demand increased glucose consumption."

Very cool.

Ok so how can you put this information to use to lower your blood sugar or cut down on that after dinner blood glucose spike?

Simple.

Hanging out and eating outside is probably the best way!

But I know, that's too hard for most of you to do. What if its winter, blah blah blah. I get it.

So here's what you can do based on the study above....

Go get yourself a high quality red and infrared light therapy machine.

My favorite red and infrared light therapy machines in general are made by EMR. All of their machines have red and infrared light including the 670nm wavelength used in the study above. Get the "PRO" version if you can but it is not necessary. You can use the code "bluelight20" for a discount and check them out here...

Once you have your red light machine, just follow these simple steps.....

In this study they used 670 nm light for 15 minutes at an intensity of 40 mW/cm shined on the test subjects back 45 minutes PRIOR to glucose consumption.

Now I doubt you have to get the timing or wavelength or irradiance exact for it to work so just do the best you can to copy the above.

STEP ONE: Before dinner get out your EMR red and infrared light machine and use a red light dosage calculator to figure out how far you have to be away from it to hit around 40 mw/cm of intensity. You probably can skip this measurement step and just use EMR's general dosing distance guidelines but do this just in case you want to be precise.

STEP TWO: Turn your red light machine on for 15 minutes. Take off your shirt and aim it at your back but I bet the front would work to and I usually switch off days from back to front.

STEP THREE: Eat dinner a half hour or so after your red light session. Again, I doubt you have to be so precise but just aim to be in the general ball park.

STEP FOUR: For bonus points, go for a quick 10 minute walk outside after you eat dinner.

Bam.

Getting a post meal blood glucose reduction and reducing those inflammatory blood glucose spikes is as simple as that.

Remember, eating your meals outside probably already achieves much of this glucose lowering benefit because sunlight is loaded with red and infrared light, but if you cant do that, the next best thing is to get a high quality red and infrared light machine like the one I use below and treat before you eat.

This machine is called the Inferno is one of my favorites and you can get a discount on it with the secret code "bluelight20" here www.bluelightdetox.com/emr
