Use "Skin Fuel" With Red Light & Erase Wrinkles 10X Faster

As a follow up to the green tea and red light wrinkle reducing protocol post I wrote yesterday (read it here), today I want to show you another dead-simple way to make your red light sessions dramatically more effective.

Like anyone who uses red light therapy for skin health needs to do this. You will 5-10X your results in the same amount of time.

The secret is you need to add the right "skin fuel" to your red light therapy sessions.

In this 2009 study (Barolet et al.), researchers found that topical “bioactives” which consisted of hydrolyzed marine collagen peptides + vitamin C, combined with 660 nm red light increased collagen I and III production way beyond what either did alone.

So how exactly does that work?

Well, fibroblast activity naturally slows down with age.

What are the best raw materials to repair wrinkles and redness?

Hydrolyzed marine collagen peptides: these are collagen broken down into tiny pieces small enough to actually penetrate the skin barrier. They supply the exact amino acids (glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline) your fibroblasts use to assemble new collagen fibers.

Vitamin C: this is the essential cofactor for the enzymes (prolyl hydroxylase and lysyl hydroxylase) that stabilize collagen’s triple-helix structure. Without it, collagen synthesis literally stalls.

Acetyl Hexapeptide-8: a signaling peptide that helps smooth the skin at the cellular level.

When you apply these ingredients to your skin first and then hit your skin with red/NIR light, you’re giving your fibroblasts both the energy and the building blocks at the same time.

That’s the secret to the synergy the studies show.

Barolet et al. 2009 – 660 nm pulsed LED alone increased type-1 procollagen by 31 % and dropped collagen-degrading MMP-1 by 18 %. In the human study, 87 % of people saw measurable wrinkle reduction and over 90 % had visibly smoother skin after just 12 sessions. You saw this study in the beginning of this article.

Evans et al. 2021 – Hydrolyzed marine collagen peptides significantly improved skin elasticity, hydration, and wrinkle depth when supplied directly to fibroblasts. See the study here.

How to Do the Protocol (Takes 15–20 Minutes)


Step 1) Apply a bioactive sheet mask or serum with hydrolyzed marine collagen peptides + vitamin C + Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 to the area of skin you want to treat and leave it on for 10–15 minutes BEFORE your red light therapy session. My favorite is called the EMR Red Sheet Mask.

Step 2) Remove the sheet mask and immediately do your normal red/NIR session (630–660 nm, 3–5 J/cm² total dose is plenty).

That’s it.
